About the Mercedes-Benz EQS

The EQS sits on the Modular Electric Architecture, known internally as EVA II, with a 400-volt system until the 2026 update, and its drag coefficient of 0.20 was for a time a world record among production cars. Its one-bow body breaks with the stepped saloon silhouette, and the Digital Light headlamps can project symbols onto the road through hologram projectors.

Mercedes-Benz presented the EQS on 15 April 2021 and began building it in May 2021 at Factory 56 in Sindelfingen; revised versions followed in April 2024 and April 2026.
