The pick-up is based on the D23 Nissan Navara, on a 3,150 mm wheelbase and 5,340 mm long, and weighs between 2,249 and 2,389 kg with a 73-litre tank. It came in Pure, Progressive and Power trim lines, and Euro NCAP gave it five stars in 2017.

Presented at Cape Town in July 2017 and built at Nissan's Barcelona plant, the X-Class took the Mercedes V6 from July 2018 until production ended in May 2020.
