About the MG TF

It kept the TD's independent coil-spring front suspension and rack-and-pinion steering, but brought headlamps faired into the wings, a sloping grille hiding a separate radiator and a pressurised cooling system. From late 1954 the TF 1500 with the 1,466 cc XPEG engine of 64 PS (47 kW) joined the range.

Launched on 15 October 1953, the TF was built until 4 April 1955: 9,602 cars, including two prototypes and 3,400 TF 1500s.
