About the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss

The Z199 is a speedster with neither roof nor windscreen, drawn after the 300 SLR racing car of 1955. Its carbon-fibre construction and open body make it about 200 kg lighter than the regular SLR. The body was designed by the Korean designer Yoon Il-hun, the cabin by the Dutch designer Sarkis Benliyan.

Named after the British racing driver and unveiled at the 2009 North American International Auto Show, the Stirling Moss was the last SLR of the Mercedes-Benz and McLaren partnership. All 75 cars were built between June and December 2009, for existing SLR owners only.
