1985 Lancia Delta S4 Corsa Gruppo B for Sale in the United Kingdom

This 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Corsa Gruppo B is a used car. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Jolly Club Totip livery, white, green and orange with a Blue interior.

Chassis 208 started as a test car for the works Lancia Martini team. Miki Biasion used it to try Pirelli snow tyres at Saint-Rhémy, in the Aosta Valley, ahead of the 1986 Monte-Carlo, and Markku Alén did the same in Lapland to prepare for Sweden.

Passed to the Jolly Club and painted in Totip colours, it won the 1986 Rally 1000 Miglia with Dario Cerrato, then the reigning European champion, and took third overall on the Costa Smeralda, a European round, with three stage wins. Fiat Auto then registered it in Turin, and it served as a Jolly Club test car for the rest of the season, the year Cerrato won the Italian title.

The car is located in Oxford, United Kingdom.

The Lancia Delta S4 Gruppo B uses the 1,759 cc 233 ATR 18S four-cylinder with twin overhead camshafts and 16 valves, mounted lengthways behind the cabin and fed by both a supercharger and a turbocharger, rated at about 490 PS (360 kW) in rally trim, with a five-speed Hewland manual gearbox and four-wheel drive, with a centre differential sending 60 to 75 per cent of the torque to the rear.

FAQ

This Lancia Delta S4 in the European market

Can this Lancia be bought in the United Kingdom and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Oxford, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Lancia Delta S4, and how does a purchase work?

Girardo & Co., a professional dealer in Oxford, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Lancia Delta S4 be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Oxford, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.

Is this Lancia Delta S4 still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Girardo & Co. before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the United Kingdom?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.

Where can I see the wider Lancia market?

LUSSO publishes a market overview for the Delta S4, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars.
