The 308 GT4 sits on a tubular spaceframe derived from the Dino 246, with double wishbones and coil springs on both axles and a 2,550 mm wheelbase. Its Bertone body, drawn by Marcello Gandini, is the only Bertone design among production Ferraris. Raced at Le Mans as the Dino 308 GT4 LM in the 3-litre sports class, it was the only 2+2 Ferrari to race with factory support.
The North American Racing Team, founded by Luigi Chinetti, entered it at Le Mans in 1974, where it retired after 30 laps, and again in 1975, when it was refused a start and the team withdrew all four of its Ferraris.
The available examples are all from the 1974 model year.
One Ferrari 308 GT4/LM is currently listed by a single dealer in the United Kingdom.
