About the Ferrari 296

The name follows the old Dino logic: 2.9 litres and six cylinders. The family runs from the GTB coupé of 2022 and the GTS convertible of 2023 to the Speciale and the Challenge racer, all on the 2,992 cc twin-turbocharged 120-degree V6 paired with an electric motor, and an eight-speed Magna dual-clutch gearbox.

The 296 is the first Ferrari road car with six cylinders to be sold under the Ferrari badge rather than Dino, the brand the factory used for its earlier sixes until 1974. Ferrari has built its cars at Maranello since 1943 and casts its own engines on site.
