Mercedes-Benz 170 V for Sale

The body sits on an X-shaped frame of oval tubes, with a swing axle at the rear, twin transverse leaf springs at the front and hydraulic drum brakes. The open range comprised the two-seat Cabriolet A and the four-seat Cabriolet B, with the spare wheel carried on the rear.

Launched in 1936 to replace the six-cylinder W15, it was the best-selling Mercedes-Benz before the war. The V stands for vorn, front, as opposed to the rear-engined 170 H.
