About the Porsche 911 Dakar

The Dakar rides 50 mm higher than a standard 911 and its lift system adds another 30 mm, for 191 mm of ground clearance, on Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tyres. Porsche capped production at 2,500 cars, built for 2022 to 2024.

Porsche has built the 911 at Zuffenhausen since 1963 and names each generation by an internal type number, 991 then 992. The Dakar is the first 911 the factory has prepared for loose surfaces, and it quotes the works cars that won the Paris to Dakar rally in 1984.
