About the Porsche 935

The car is built on the 991.2 GT2 RS, with a carbon fibre body that lengthens it by more than half a metre and a roll cage in place of the rear seats. Porsche built 77 of them for track use only, the shape recalling the 935/78 Moby Dick, and each carries the roof-mounted aerial and the mirrors of the 919 Hybrid.

Porsche has built the 911 at Zuffenhausen since 1963 and names each generation by an internal type number, 991 then 992. Weissach develops the GT cars, which keep a naturally aspirated flat-six when the rest of the range has turbocharged, and the Exclusive Manufaktur trims a car to an owner's order.
