About the Ferrari 308 GTSi

A steel tube frame carries a steel body built by Scaglietti to Leonardo Fioravanti's Pininfarina design, with double wishbones, coil springs and anti-roll bars at both ends, vented discs all round and unassisted rack-and-pinion steering. Outwardly the injected car differs from the carburettor GTS only by its metric wheels on Michelin TRX tyres. A strict two-seater whose roof panel lifts off by hand and stows in a cover behind the seats.

Bosch injection arrived on the 308 in 1980 and turned the GTS into the GTSi, of which Ferrari built 1,743 before the four-valve Quattrovalvole replaced it at the 1982 Paris show.
