Ferrari 458 Challenge Evo for Sale

The Challenge sheds weight from the standard 458 through thinner body panels, carbon-fibre replacement panels and polycarbonate windows and windscreen. The 458 suspension uses double wishbones at the front and a multi-link layout at the rear, and the race car adds centre-lock wheels, an air-jack mounting at the rear, a racing exhaust and tow hooks at both ends. The cockpit is a racing one: a Sabelt seat with a six-point harness, a detachable steering wheel on a quick-release hub and a plumbed-in fire extinguisher system. The 2014 Evo upgrade worked mainly on aerodynamics, and its most obvious sign is the large rear wing.

Ferrari presented the 458 Challenge on 14 July 2010 for the 2011 season of its one-make Ferrari Challenge, and the Evo took over from 2014 to 2016 before the 488 Challenge arrived. Ferrari also sold an Evo kit so that earlier cars could be brought to the new specification. Just under 150 cars were built in all, fewer than 50 of them as Evos.
