Mercedes-Benz 450 SEL 6.9 for Sale

Instead of the air suspension of the 300 SEL 6.3, it rides on hydropneumatic suspension with self-levelling on all four wheels, which keeps the ground clearance constant whatever the load. Outwardly it differs from the other 116 series cars only by its boot badge and slightly wider tyres; headlamp wipers and velour upholstery were standard.

Presented in May 1975, the 450 SEL 6.9 was built at Sindelfingen from September 1975 to May 1980, and 7,380 cars left the factory. In 1975 auto motor und sport called it the best car in the world.
