Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL for Sale

The SEL is the long-wheelbase saloon, with 3,075 mm between the axles, a length of 5,135 to 5,160 mm and a kerb weight of 1,650 kg as built. ABS became standard on the V8 models at the end of December 1984.

Daimler-Benz built the W126 S-Class at Sindelfingen from 1979 to 1991 and made 72,733 examples of the 500 SEL. The second series arrived in September 1985, and 38 special-protection W126 cars were still being built until April 1992.
