This 1962 Ferrari 250 GT 2+2 Drogo SWB is a used car. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in David Piper Green with a Black interior.
Ferrari finished chassis 2423 GT on 20 March 1961, a 250 GTE 2+2 that Franco Britannic, the importer in Paris, then sold. In the late 1980s an English Ferrari specialist rebuilt it on a shortened chassis under a Drogo body, the one from the 250 GTO raced by Ulf Norinder, and brought its running gear up to GTO standard: dry-sump V12 with six carburettors and a Colotti racing gearbox.
A Hamburg enthusiast bought it in 1995 and the present owner in 2013, who has had it restored again in the green of David Piper's racing cars, with engine and gearbox overhauled by a Ferrari workshop. It is not a 250 GTO but a GTE-based car wearing Piero Drogo's coachwork, and it is road-registered in Germany.
The car is located in Hamburg, Germany.
The Ferrari 250 GT 2+2 uses the 2,953 cc Colombo V12 with three Weber carburettors, rated at 240 PS (177 kW), with a four-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels.

FAQ
The car is located in Hamburg, Germany. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.
Thiesen, a professional dealer in Hamburg, Germany. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.
The car is at Hamburg, Germany, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history, with supporting documents for the information stated in the listing.
LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with Thiesen before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.
A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.
LUSSO publishes a market overview for the 250 GT 2+2, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars.
