About the BMW 740i

The 740i was built from April 1992 to June 1994, at the end of a series that totalled about 310,000 cars between 1986 and 1994. Ercole Spada and Hans Kerschbaum drew the E32 under chief designer Claus Luthe.

The E32 was the second generation of the 7 Series. The V8 740i arrived late in its life, in 1992, alongside the long-wheelbase 740iL.
