BMW 750iL for Sale

The E38 introduced a completely new multi-link rear axle, which BMW calls the integral axle, and was the first 7 Series with a CAN bus network. ASC+T traction control is fitted, and DSC III stability control was optional on the 750i and 750iL from 1995 before becoming standard across the range with the 1998 facelift. The iL is the long-wheelbase saloon: 3,070 mm between the axles instead of 2,930 mm, and 5,124 mm overall instead of 4,985 mm. The E38 was the first car available with curtain airbags and the first European car to offer satellite navigation; double glazing was available.

BMW built the E38, third generation of the 7 Series, at Dingolfing from April 1994 to July 2001, 340,242 cars in all. The V12 was the flagship: 750i production began in November 1994, and about 15,000 750iL were made against 8,000 short 750i. The L7 limousine and the armoured versions were based on the 750iL.
