About the BMW Z8

The body and chassis are all aluminium, a MIG-welded space frame built at Dingolfing and hand-finished in Munich, under a shape drawn by Henrik Fisker as a tribute to the 507 of the fifties.

BMW built 5,703 Z8 from 2000 to 2003, 555 of them finished by Alpina as the Roadster V8 with an automatic gearbox. It is the rarest modern BMW roadster and has no successor.
