About the Porsche 356 B

The 356 B arrived in late 1959 with the T5 body and higher headlights and bumpers; mid-1962 brought the T6, with twin engine-lid grilles and an external fuel filler. The Super 90 adds a compensating spring on its swing axle to curb oversteer, with torsion bars and light-alloy drum brakes. Porsche built 30,963 cars of the 356 B generation between 1959 and 1963, and the Super 90 reaches 180 km/h.

After its beginnings in Gmünd, Austria, Porsche moved to Zuffenhausen in 1950, where production started in the premises of the Reutter body works.
