About Car & Car Tuscany

Car & Car Tuscany sells supercars and collector cars from a single hall at Lucca, in the north of Tuscany. The building is a long shed with the cars in two rows either side of a red-bordered aisle, and one car left alone at the far end under the house lettering.

It is a separate company from Car & Car S.R.L. of Zibido San Giacomo, with its own VAT number, its own telephone and its own stock, and the two are linked only by a shared name and a link in each other's header. LUSSO lists them as two dealers because that is what they are.

The stock is the reason to look here rather than at Milan. Ferrari accounts for a third of it and Porsche for a quarter, but alongside a 296 GTB and an 812 GTS sit a 1995 F512 M, a 1983 930 Turbo, a 1975 Dino 308 GT4, a 1982 208 GTS built for the Italian tax rules of its day, a 1978 Lancia Beta Montecarlo, a 1966 Volkswagen T1 Samba and a Fiat 500 Spiaggina with wicker seats. It is a mixed house, and the older half of it is the half that is hard to find.

Prices are published in euros exactly as the dealer asks them today. Most of the stock is sold under the Italian margin scheme, so the published figure is the total price and no VAT is shown; where the dealer states the tax separately the price is the export figure and the VAT is deductible for a buyer able to reclaim it.
