Overview about this 1969 Ferrari 365 GTC for sale

One of 150 365 GTCs built and one of the 22 in right-hand drive, ordered new by G.B. Pilkington, managing director of Vibroplant, the plant hire company whose road-building equipment helped lay Britain's motorway network through the 1960s and 1970s.

The file that comes with the car includes his correspondence with Michael Salmon of Maranello Concessionaires. Pilkington first ordered the car in Blu Tourbillon over a scarlet hide, then changed his mind entirely and took an allocation already in build, finished in Oro Nashrullah with a Nero interior. He wanted Pelle Beige VM 3218 instead, so the car went back to Pininfarina before delivery to be retrimmed, and Ferrari invoiced Maranello Concessionaires in early July 1969 with instructions to deliver it by air freight, unusual for the period and probably a consequence of that delay.

It is presented today in the period-correct Verde Scuro Metallizzato over Pelle Beige. The 365 GTC gained power, brakes and gearbox strength over the 330 GTC it replaced. This car is Ferrari Classiche certified, took part in the 2025 official Ferrari Cavalcade Classiche and was serviced by GTO Engineering in December 2025. It comes with a thorough history file and its tool kit. Right-hand drive, manual, titled in the United Kingdom.

This 1969 Ferrari 365 GTC is offered for sale. It is equipped with a manual transmission. The car is finished in Verde Scuro Metallizzato, period correct with a Pelle Beige interior.

The price is on request. The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom.

FAQ

This Ferrari 365 GTC in the European market

How this car sits against the other Ferrari 365 GTC advertised in Europe on 2026, and what to settle before a cross-border purchase.

Can this Ferrari be bought in the United Kingdom and registered elsewhere in Europe?

The car is located in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. The dealer has not stated whether the price is quoted gross, net of VAT for export, or under the margin scheme. Cross-border purchase is normal for this kind of car, but the documentation, the certificate of conformity, transport and the registration rules of the destination country all have to be settled with the selling dealer first.

Who is selling this Ferrari 365 GTC, and how does a purchase work?

DK Engineering, a professional dealer in Chorleywood, United Kingdom. LUSSO lists the car and passes enquiries to that dealer; the inspection, the negotiation, the invoice and the transfer of ownership all take place directly between the buyer and the dealer. LUSSO does not hold stock, take deposits or act as an intermediary in payment.

Can this Ferrari 365 GTC be inspected before purchase?

The car is at Chorleywood, United Kingdom, and an inspection is arranged with the selling dealer. Buyers based in another country commonly appoint an independent inspector or a marque specialist rather than travel. Ask the dealer for the service record, the number of previous owners and any accident history: LUSSO does not publish these and cannot confirm them.

Is this Ferrari 365 GTC still available?

LUSSO republishes what the selling dealer advertises, and a car in demand is sometimes reserved or sold before the dealer updates its own site. Confirm current availability with DK Engineering before travelling or committing funds. An enquiry sent from this page reaches that dealer directly.

What is needed to register this car if it does not stay in the United Kingdom?

A cross-border registration normally requires the vehicle registration document, the certificate of conformity or an equivalent type-approval record, the purchase invoice showing the VAT treatment, and proof that any tax due in the destination country has been settled. Temporary export plates and transport insurance are arranged either by the dealer or by the buyer. Requirements differ by country and should be confirmed with the selling dealer before payment.

Where can I see the wider Ferrari market?

LUSSO publishes a market overview for the 365 GTC, covering current asking prices in Europe, availability by country, why prices differ, how VAT works on a cross-border purchase and what to compare between two cars. See the Ferrari market overview
